Westchester Woman Charged With Trying To Fill Fake Prescription At CVS

A Westchester woman was busted in Greenwich attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription at CVS, police said.

Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to CVS on West Putnam Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, police said, when there was a report of a woman attempting to illegally fill a prescription.

Police said that the investigation revealed that Port Chester resident Ana Garcia, 67, was attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription. Further investigation found that she was in possession of multiple unlabeled pill bottles with a variety of prescriptions inside.

Garcia was arrested and charged with violation of a controlled substance label requirement and criminal attempt to obtain controlled drugs with a forged prescription. She was released on $200 bail and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 4.
